Heyo. Zed here. I’ve had a look through the Android App store in the Games tag. This took two days by the way of constant note taking. I’ve found a long list of games I’m going to have to look into. Expect commentary, opinions and reviews of most of them. It might take me a while to get to all of them.
The Games tag I’m sure has more of these that I haven’t found yet. I’ll give the list for now here. I’ve picked the games I want to play by the images of gameplay they have. Typically if I don’t see any images of gameplay in the sales page I skip the game because I don’t know what genre it’s in. Most or all of these are free with in-app purchases.
Solo Levelling Arise
I think this game’s name might have translated into English strangely, but we can guarantee that Solo Levelling Arise has single player, levelling mechanics and things that start off higher in space than they started. It looks like a fantasy RPG from the sales page. I’ll try to grasp this variety of English later.
Nexus War Civilization
This looks like it has cool robots. Like really cool robots. Like art inspiration about robots doing cool robot things. I don’t really care if it has a plot or makes sense. It looks cool.
The Legend of Neverland
Games have been trying to make the soft pastel colour level map thing work for a long while. One of them is going to get it right. This example of that genre looks like an Anime themed fantasy RPG with a huge open world map. Now that sounds like fun. Hopefully the combat and gameplay live up to the Anime promise.
Warhammer 40,000 Tacticus
Eventually, statistically, someone is going to make a good Warhammer 40,000 game. I have no idea what the gameplay in this one looks like but I am hopeful that it is that game.
Harvest Town
Cute pixel based farming simulator with towns, ships and a lot of NPCs. At least that’s what I can tell from the sales page.
The Elder Scrolls: Blades
The Elder Scrolls: Blades is made by Bethesda. Bethesda are also the same people who made The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. If this game is anything like The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim then it will be amazing beyond words and deserves to be loved and played forever. I’m getting to this one last because it might take ten years to beat.
Eternium
I’ve played a bit of Eternium about a year ago before I got back into Minecraft. Minecraft is fun and so is Eternium. I didn’t get far but it’s a top-down level based fantasy RPG with a ton of loot options, crafting and unlockable powers. It also looks fun and long.
Old School Runescape
I got my start in the fantasy RPG market back when Runescale Old School was new and everyone was playing it. It was impossible to beat, had no coherent plot, had a currency that was impossible to get more of and I loved it. I will play it again. I just hope they made the inventory management and currency easier to do.
Zed
Hello. C J here. I read a lot of cookbooks. This is done mostly for fun. I’m currently reading a short but really interesting book about traditional Chinese cooking. The book was written by an Indian author who has clearly researched Chinese food very well but some of the translations of recipes or concepts get a bit strange. I’m currently done the soups and starters section and am onto the section labelled ‘food that is saucy.’ Cool? Is it also savvy? There’s a surprisingly large amount of ketchup in the recipes. No I don’t think I want a recipe for hot and sour soup that is thickened ketchup water with vinegar and a bit of cabbage. No I also don’t want to take a slice of white wonderbread, roll it into a tube, stuff it with canned corn, deep fry it and then top it with sesame seeds. What in God’s name do they eat in China? And why is it specifically an image of white wonderbread? China? Are you okay? I managed to take out the vinegar, water and corn starch that makes up most of the h...
