Hello. C J here. Let me pose a question. You have something of value. Let's say a skill like painting or video making. You want to make money on it. How? This is the problem I've faced for a while. I'm good at storytelling and I'm good at math. How do I get paid?
The answer I've found is the online platform Patreon. I've worked with it before and it's reliable monthly income for a creative professional who does the kind of monthly volume of work I do. The issue it solves is advertising. One add or Facebook post that gets a customer to buy a product happens once. The same add or post that gets a smaller but recurring Patreon member pays less but more over time and more reliably.
What's the money for then? Lunch. Specifically food research. This may sound like a dry academic subject. It isn't. It means trying new restaurant food, new brands of coffee bean, new uses for expensive seafood. I still need to learn how to work with scallops and I need a good recipe for a smoked salmon salad on a bagel. What bagel? Goodness, I have no clue. So this is the main goal of my free content and Facebook page. Get people free stuff, get reliable income and eat scallops. Or bagels. I haven't decided yet. Thanks.
