Hello. C J here. I’ve got a few notes for today. First, I’m preparing to work more seriously on the first Quantum Expansion, Roads to the Spirit World. This means I might not be posting here as much for a while. I am also going to resume marketing on YouTube and that will take up some of my time. I’m hoping to use YouTube to find people to work with to help build the Legend setting as part of the Discord server I’m working on.
Second, the Discord server is a while away but it’s going to be part of what I’m calling the Collaborative Setting Project. The Legend setting is vast as an entire galaxy. The galaxy is named Creation and Creation shares no history with our own night sky. I have the core rules of Quantum done in advance of doing this for a reason. I do not need help inventing the rules. The rules are done really and they work.
I need help with the narrative part. Each Expansion has a theme and I’m perfectly willing to take suggestions from people about what they’d like. I’m willing to add a card, a whole deck, a nation, a character, or an entire several hundred card Expansion because of a suggestion from someone. I need to know what people want so I can make that. Each Expansion has unlimited room to add so long as someone has an idea of a thing to add. These things are made out of patterns that I find in the existing rules and mechanical effects, normally in pairs of two effects as one spell.
I will eventually be paying people to do art and text for me. I still will not be hiring people or commissioning them to make core rules or mechanics. Quantum has what it needs and Quantum will only ever be given new mechanics by me. Everything it needs should be in the core rules. I need these things to be paired together and given a story by other people. What happens if you make an existing character red and give them wings? What would a character do if given a magic item? What does one of the side characters do when not in the main story of a work?
I need ideas for characters but mostly I need ideas for things they can do, either in their personal lives or in their careers as combat characters. I’m going to look into getting these things written for me later when I’ve got more of the cards done. Third, I’m also working on Heart and Fur World. This game has a real life spiritual aspect. There’s one very common real life spiritual idea that I can’t fit in the card game, the idea of spiritual journeying. The idea is that a person can use their imagination to visit a distant location and meet allies and friends there. Often this is a source of ideas, inspiration or further magic practice.
The card game has no room for additional mechanics depicting this kind of journeying. Heart and Fur World will be composed of nothing but this idea. The settings depicted there are mostly going to be from the Legend setting but I have some room to do other settings as well that aren’t part of the Legend series. Building these settings will be a job I am willing to pay people to assist with. Then using the game people can use them in their personal lives using systems that already exist in the spiritual community. That’s it for now.

Hello. C J here. I read a lot of cookbooks. This is done mostly for fun. I’m currently reading a short but really interesting book about traditional Chinese cooking. The book was written by an Indian author who has clearly researched Chinese food very well but some of the translations of recipes or concepts get a bit strange. I’m currently done the soups and starters section and am onto the section labelled ‘food that is saucy.’ Cool? Is it also savvy? There’s a surprisingly large amount of ketchup in the recipes. No I don’t think I want a recipe for hot and sour soup that is thickened ketchup water with vinegar and a bit of cabbage. No I also don’t want to take a slice of white wonderbread, roll it into a tube, stuff it with canned corn, deep fry it and then top it with sesame seeds. What in God’s name do they eat in China? And why is it specifically an image of white wonderbread? China? Are you okay? I managed to take out the vinegar, water and corn starch that makes up most of the h...
