Starter Set Spotlight - Heroes of the City Concept

Hello. C J here. I’ve got twenty pieces of concept art for today. Here we have AI art versions of all twenty hero characters for the Quantum Starter Set. I use AI art for concept art and while I do not intend to sell any of it I can use it to speed up the art design process by a factor of about 100 times. Half a year becomes half a day. We have the entire set of twenty NPC characters for the Quantum Starter Set here. I think this is all the concept art I need for the set so now it’s time to take the concept art and draw all of it in digital fountain pen. Then I put it on cards and get serious about marketing on Bluesky and in person.

Here’s the list of characters in order. Zan Matthews, William Youngsun, Vell Blackscale, Vaun Silver Kin, Solstice, Prophet, Mist, Markus 'Blue' Fargather, Lyric, Laura Brightfox, Kan Makel, Ivy, Hyll Bighoof, Flame, Dagger, Benjamin Everwander, Balath Regal, Bael Kyneth, Azkail Anion and Allister Youngsun. All of these characters are license compatible through my Patreon. The Patreon is still being set up. For their lore and stats see the free samples of Quantum I have in the Quantum folder in the Books page through the OneDrive link. Characters with single nouns as names are mages and taking on a working name is a common cultural practice for mages in this part of the setting. No, I did not stay up all night doing this. I don't function well without sleep so this was mostly done yesterday and this morning with a lot of coffee. I'm going to give the nice software at Perchance some time to rest just in case.

Let's All Be Friends, No Really - Part Two

Hello. C J here. I’ve updated my plans to make a Discord server for everyone here and on Facebook. Making a Discord server to my knowledge costs money. However, making a Facebook group does not. I’ve made a few of those over the years as well for various reasons. I’m going to look into this soon and then add the links here and in the menus here as well. I’m certain a Facebook group is what we need. I’m planning a number of chats within the group. So far my current plans are as follows. Art and Artwork Health and Wellness Food and Baking Magic and Spirituality Writing and Software NSFW I’m planning a private group but if I can get it open entry without a form or sign up page or anything. As for rules I’m going to reuse some from past of these I’ve done. Everyone is Welcome Be Polite Advertising is Allowed Follow the Content Ratings The Facebook group will take some planning but not any actual effort to build. It’s that simple. Thanks. C J Mcpherson

Chocolate and Barbecue Sauce and Truffles Oh My

Hello. C J here. I've got two new recipes for everyone today. I meant to type up a third but for the life of me I can't find the paper index card I wrote it down on. I will have to make it again and post it later once I double check I have the right proportions. I know what's in it but the proportions are done by taste. It's for Asian style ginger baked beans as part of my Asian-barbecue book I'm working on. The book might actually end up being cards for the card game because the recipes are so simple they fit in that format. That makes my job easier. Here's our two recipes for today. The first is a new Asian style barbecue sauce I invented from scratch. This isn't based on an existing sauce. It's the product of a lot of planning and research. It's great. The second recipe is for my final draft scratch made dark chocolate. This stuff is good. I still have some of the batch I made three days ago on hand. It's too tasty to eat. There will be a mil...

Four New Recipes for January

Hello. C J here. I've got four new recipes for everyone here. We have everything from Chinese chicken to homemade hot apple cider. Enjoy. The Emperor’s Potatoes Here we have the first food item I ever finished designing for Food of the World – Carthia. I tried three combinations of traditional Asian ingredients and pasta under the assumption that I was doing Italian-Chinese food for the book. I could not for the life of me get any of them to be exciting. They were fine. I don’t eat fine. I got bored of the pasta thing and then thought to myself, ‘what happens if I swap the pasta for another starch? What about a potato?’ It worked. Really well. It worked so well I named them The Emperor’s Potatoes. They’re mashed potatoes and I left the skins on because I like vitamins and then that got me thinking about the traditional medicinal food of Ancient China, ginger. Could I put ginger in a potato dish and have it work? Yes. I can. That surprised me. Be warned, these are almost dangerousl...
