Hello. C J here. I thought I’d do a Fantasy Plus Minecraft server project update. Here’s the current state of the server.
I’ve realized that you can cook over a campfire so I never need ovens.
I have installed Blockbench and the Entity Editor Plugin.
I have made stats, equipment lists and loot tables on paper for the gold skeleton themed enemies. Most of this will be run off three or four spawn eggs as the skeletons only need to go up in tier rarely and can have armour and weapon options including my spellbooks. I’m assuming this can be done in the entity plugin. I know zombies can spawn with armour sometimes.
I will be recolouring the default skeleton to make my version, the sand skeleton.
They will be run using mob spawners in the dungeons and in monster camps in the overworld. You cannot destroy them so get used to combat in these regions.
I’ve spent a couple days learning Minecraft Bedrock Editor and I have the system of building worlds on the scale of tens of kilometre square continents down. I have steps and I have about an eighth of a square kilometre done already. This will speed up vastly once I’m out of the learning stage.
I have most of the house interiors I need. There is one each of these for the map by function and they include coloured carpet by their job. The wilderkin merchants, my actual name for the jobsona npc species, will wear outfits by profession matching these colours.
The merchants will also be handled by spawn eggs in mob spawners. These work in Bedrock Edition a block underground so I’ll be installing those in Creative mode before publishing the map.
The map will be done in stages. The Egypt themed desert region is the first stage. I have the next three stages named. Those names will be public later.
It will be a public server.
I’m running through my reams of notes I have about real life Egypt in the ancient world and also all of my fantasy ideas based on their culture. These will be converted into either npcs, locations, or quest journals line by line, word by word. Expect more Pages Found in the Desert as samples.
I’m willing to show off the surface level of the map and the near to the surface dungeons. Anything past there, or deeper into the monster territory away from the cities and towns, you’ll have to find on your own.
That’s where we are. Here’s an image of a blacksmith’s house. The loft is purely decorative.

Hello. C J here. Walking down the streets of Haven is not always as safe as the city would like people to think. Yes, they have curbed the banditry that plagues the Southern half of the Coastal Road. The Desert Princes whose cities dot the Southern coast of the Southern Continent if anything make the problem worse for themselves with their constant rivalries and politics. So no, a traveller in Haven or in the River Lands is unlikely to meet a bandit or other criminal sort. But then there’s the walking dead to consider. Many of the basements, catacombs and landmarks of Haven have old foundations from before the city had its current name. In ages long past it was one of two competing capitols for the Desert Empire, both of which unified under the first Sand King of the Gold Dynasty, the God-Lion. It was never his place of residence and both the other capitol and the rest of the Desert Empire are long since buried under the dunes. Well, people like to assume they’re buried. People wo...
