Hello. C J here. I had some more thoughts for my Minecraft server Fantasy Plus. The economy of the server runs off gold nuggets and is meant to simulate real world money and prices. Each one is worth $17.50 real money so I have guidance building it. I had the idea recently of allowing the players to eventually build bases that include resource-generating structures. I’m still working on how to get this to work in redstone but it will probably involve a command block each structure.
So, the server will evolve from the players gathering gold nuggets by hand from skeleton enemies in order to buy goods to eventually getting the goods for free at these structures. The thing is I don’t have to give you unlimited gold. If I make the crafting materials you buy free and then at a higher tier the end product crafted goods themselves less expensive or free then the players can level up the entire map slowly by acquiring more structures over time.
I might divide the map into eras like fantasy, steampunk and then science fantasy. I really am cautious here to not break the map’s immersion by building to hard science fiction with sleek metal everything and ships going between the stars. A slightly more metallic or futuristic high fantasy might be compatible with the look and feel I am going for. This simulates in a really realistic way the economics of running Infinity Game Studios.
Whenever I have a project I look at it not as a price tag but as a list of files I need made. I need to know the file types and what files are required to make larger final sale or marketing files. Then I need to know how to distribute those files and whether I’m monetizing one of them and how. I then know what software needs to be used. Then I acquire the software, learn the basics, make what I need and move on to sales. I go for the end goal and skip the complex financial step. It works for me at least.

Hello. C J here. I read a lot of cookbooks. This is done mostly for fun. I’m currently reading a short but really interesting book about traditional Chinese cooking. The book was written by an Indian author who has clearly researched Chinese food very well but some of the translations of recipes or concepts get a bit strange. I’m currently done the soups and starters section and am onto the section labelled ‘food that is saucy.’ Cool? Is it also savvy? There’s a surprisingly large amount of ketchup in the recipes. No I don’t think I want a recipe for hot and sour soup that is thickened ketchup water with vinegar and a bit of cabbage. No I also don’t want to take a slice of white wonderbread, roll it into a tube, stuff it with canned corn, deep fry it and then top it with sesame seeds. What in God’s name do they eat in China? And why is it specifically an image of white wonderbread? China? Are you okay? I managed to take out the vinegar, water and corn starch that makes up most of the h...
