Hello. C J here. I’m briefly interrupting my vacation with a few fun posts. I need to get these typed so I don’t forget them and the stories involved next week. I ran into a friend of mine while out of the house a few days ago. We know each other from a job we did together. They went to the Kingston ComiCon that was last weekend. Apparently it was great. They bought some stuff. They also ran into some furries in full fursuits.
My friend stated the exact list of things that happens when someone runs into furries wearing fursuits. At first you think you can judge them. Then you realize how nice they are and how accepting the furry community is. Then you realize that the furry community are all really rich and that the outfits cost a ton of money that we all already have. I spent the conversation nodding and trying not to laugh. I think our community has made another friend.
It’s a known fact that walking into a furry convention permanently cures depression, social anxiety and low self esteem. This has been researched by a professional team of scientists at a furry convention I was at. The health benefits are amazing and they had to be reminded that those extended to them as well simply because they were in the same building as us.
I’m not going to lie, most of what I do here on this website is designed for furries. Most of my art and plans for the card game are of anthropomorphic characters. There are humans somewhere in the setting but the anthropomorphic characters will always get centre stage when they want it. They’re fusona, including some human fursona. This is how the company I run was built.
Also the friend I ran into was really happy to hear my plans to publish, home print and sell my novels at the next ComiCon in Kingston next year. They all made perfect sense of it. I guess without knowing how hard the publishing industry is to work with from the inside no one really assumes that publishing a book is hard. That’s fine. It’s my job knowing all of this as a book publisher. Main point though, there are furries in this city. I haven’t met these furries yet. Can I have one?

Hello. C J here. I've got four new recipes for everyone here. We have everything from Chinese chicken to homemade hot apple cider. Enjoy. The Emperor’s Potatoes Here we have the first food item I ever finished designing for Food of the World – Carthia. I tried three combinations of traditional Asian ingredients and pasta under the assumption that I was doing Italian-Chinese food for the book. I could not for the life of me get any of them to be exciting. They were fine. I don’t eat fine. I got bored of the pasta thing and then thought to myself, ‘what happens if I swap the pasta for another starch? What about a potato?’ It worked. Really well. It worked so well I named them The Emperor’s Potatoes. They’re mashed potatoes and I left the skins on because I like vitamins and then that got me thinking about the traditional medicinal food of Ancient China, ginger. Could I put ginger in a potato dish and have it work? Yes. I can. That surprised me. Be warned, these are almost dangerousl...
