Hello. I have more Dragon Engine updates for today. My first task is to create the character customization interface for the game. This will be for sale separately from the game in the GDevelop Store. The ideas is fairly simple. Use the generic free human and animal models that come with the game. In patterns that are identical to the stat lines in Quantum, make body parts like heads, torsos and upper arms. Do these once each in every colour, colour combination and species I need that is in Quantum. Then do them for modular outfits in the setting’s colours.
Then I import them into GDevelop and make a menu using the free menu building assets to assign the body parts to the skeletons of the generic models, transforming generic humans and animals into custom fantasy ones. The Sticker behaviour is already in the game engine and allows for the customization of 3D models. The sculpting software I’m using it still being figured out. I’ve searched the Play Store and my two best options look like Sculpt+ and Prisma3D. So long as they can use GLB format I should be good with either. I’m starting with heads and all of this will be done on my phone for free or very cheaply.

Hello. C J here. I've got four new recipes for everyone here. We have everything from Chinese chicken to homemade hot apple cider. Enjoy. The Emperor’s Potatoes Here we have the first food item I ever finished designing for Food of the World – Carthia. I tried three combinations of traditional Asian ingredients and pasta under the assumption that I was doing Italian-Chinese food for the book. I could not for the life of me get any of them to be exciting. They were fine. I don’t eat fine. I got bored of the pasta thing and then thought to myself, ‘what happens if I swap the pasta for another starch? What about a potato?’ It worked. Really well. It worked so well I named them The Emperor’s Potatoes. They’re mashed potatoes and I left the skins on because I like vitamins and then that got me thinking about the traditional medicinal food of Ancient China, ginger. Could I put ginger in a potato dish and have it work? Yes. I can. That surprised me. Be warned, these are almost dangerousl...
